Kentrell Gransberry posted a game-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds to lead USF (10-10, 1-6) in the losing effort, with Dominique Jones adding 15 points.
Louisville shot a solid 54.5 percent from the floor during the first period, while limiting USF to just 38.5 percent, and the Cardinals took a 45-26 lead into intermission.
The Cardinals pressed on during the second frame, hitting 46.4 percent from the field and 8-of-10 at the foul line, en route to the 20-point victory.
USF shot a meager 38.9 percent from the floor during the contest, including a dismal 5-of-16 effort from beyond the arc, not to mention just 11-of-22 at the charity stripe as well.
