Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Matt Causey posted 18 points off the bench to lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 77-74 victory over the NC State Wolfpack in ACC action.
D'Andre Bell and Gani Lawal tallied 13 points apiece for Georgia Tech (9-9, 2-3 ACC), which got 10 points from Jeremis Smith.
Courtney Fells netted 23 points in the loss for NC State (12-6, 1-3), while J.J. Hickson posted 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Georgia Tech shot a stellar 58.3 percent from the floor in the first half, but NC State scored 10 points from the foul line in the opening stanza to force a 34-34 tie at intermission.
Tech shot 15-of-25 from the field and 12-of-15 from the foul line in the second half to claim the victory.
The Yellow Jackets suffered a 30-23 rebounding disadvantage on the night, but they did manage to force 18 turnovers.
