Ypsilanti, MI (Sports Network) - Carlos Medlock netted a game-best 20 points, as the Eastern Michigan Eagles coasted past the Toledo Rockets, 68-44, in Mid-American Conference play at the Convocation Center.
Medlock connected on 8-of-15 shots from the field and 3-of-8 from long distance, as EMU (7-10, 3-2 MAC) snapped a six-game slide against the Rockets. Justin Dobbins posted 14 points in the victory, while Zane Gay came off the bench to score 10 points.
Tyrone Kent turned in 16 points for Toledo (5-12, 2-3), which fell to 0-11 on the road.
The Eagles jumped out to a 24-5 lead in the opening 10 minutes and they held a 39-17 advantage at the half.
In the second frame, EMU knocked down 50.0 percent of its field goal attempts, as it cruised to the 24-point triumph.
