NCAA Game Summary - LSU at Vanderbilt

Final Score: L-S-U 76 - Vanderbilt 92

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Shan Foster and Alex Gordon each made four three-pointers as part of 18-point contests, as No. 16 Vanderbilt snapped a two-game conference skid with a resounding 92-76 victory over depleted LSU at Memorial Gym.

Ross Neltner added 16 points and A.J. Ogilvy donated 10 points for the Commodores (17-2, 2-2 SEC), who had lost two straight after 16 victories in a row to start the season.

Marcus Thornton led all scores with 27 points and Anthony Randolph netted 14 points and grabbed a game-best 19 rebounds for the Tigers (7-11, 0-4), who continued to struggle with only nine dressed players on Saturday.

The Tigers held a 23-20 lead almost midway through the first half after Bo Spencer's layup. The Commodores struck back with eight straight points capped by Jermaine Beal's jumper with 7:40 to go.

Beal joined Ogilvy with 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

The lead grew to 43-28 -- a 23-5 stretch in total -- after Darshawn McClellan's trey with 1:56 on the clock. The Tigers had a four-minute scoring drought during the extended run.

LSU scored the half's final five points to draw within 43-33, but Vanderbilt started the final 20 minutes on an 11-6 stretch capped by Beal's jumper with 17:15 remaining.

Neltner's free throw about four minutes later extended the edge to 62-41. Gordon's three-pointer pushed the advantage to 86-63 with 4:49 on the clock, and the Commodores cruised from there.
