Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Jermaine Johnson registered a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, as the College of Charleston Cougars downed the Wofford Terriers, 70-60, in a Southern Conference tilt at John Kresse Arena.
Johnson hit on 6-of-11 field goals and he also blocked three shots, as the Cougars (9-8, 4-3 SoCon) won their second straight game. Andrew Goudelock posted 16 points in the triumph, while Antwaine Wiggins recorded a double- double with 10 points and the same amount of rebounds.
Shane Nichols was the only player to reach double figures for Wofford (8-8, 1-5), finishing with 19 points. He made 5-of-10 three-pointers, as the Terriers dropped their third consecutive outing.
In the first half, the Cougars shot 52.0 percent from the field and they held a 33-30 edge at the break.
The College of Charleston sank 53.8 percent of its total shots in the second stanza, at it notched the 10-point victory.
The Cougars won the battle on the boards, 37-23, and that includes a 14-9 edge on the offensive glass.
