Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Jonny Flynn scored 24 points to lead the Syracuse Orange to an 81-59 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a Big East Conference showdown at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange (13-5, 3-2 Big East) also received 19 points from Donte Greene, while Paul Harris chipped in with 18 points and eight rebounds.
The Scarlet Knights (8-10, 0-5) were led by reserve Corey Chandler's 16 points. Mike Coburn added 11 points in the loss.
Syracuse got off to a quick start, shooting 58.6 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 38-22 lead at the break.
The Orange continued to roll in the second stanza, connecting on 15-of-24 shots from the floor en route to the 22-point victory.
Syracuse controlled the post, outscoring Rutgers 42-30 in the paint.
