Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Marcus Stout led all scorers with 23 points, as he lifted the Fordham Rams to a 66-53 win over the George Washington Colonials in Atlantic 10 action at Rose Hill Gym.
Bryant Dunston turned in a double-double for Fordham (7-8, 1-2 A-10), finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Brenton Butler and Michael Binns scored 10 points apiece for the Rams, who put an end to their three-game slide.
George Washington (5-7, 1-1) was led by Rob Diggs' 19-point effort. Maureece Rice tallied 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Damian Hollis finished with 11 points and 10 boards.
Fordham grabbed hold of the momentum in the opening half, as the Rams knocked down 7-of-17 three-pointers to take a 37-24 halftime lead.
The Rams shot just 30.4 percent from the floor in the second stanza, but they still managed to hold an 11-1 scoring advantage at the foul line to secure the win.
Fordham committed only six turnovers in the game, as the Rams held a 20-6 edge in points off turnovers.
