Cedar Falls, IA (Sports Network) - Nick Bahe scored a game-high 15 points to go with six rebounds and the Creighton Bluejays defeated the Northern Iowa Panthers, 68-59, in a Missouri Valley Conference tilt at the McLeod Center.
Dane Watts added 14 points and seven rebounds in the win for Creighton (13-3, 4-2 MVC), and P'Allen Stinnett chipped in 12 points.
Travis Brown led Northern Iowa (10-7, 2-4) with 13 points, while Eric Coleman tallied 12 points to go with 12 rebounds. Jared Josten and Jordan Eglseder chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively, in the losing effort.
Creighton hit 45.2 percent from the floor, including a 6-for-14 effort from three-point range, during the first period to take a 35-28 lead into the break.
Northern Iowa was limited to a mere 34.6 percent shooting from the field during the second stanza, and Creighton converted 13-of-16 attempts from the charity stripe en route to the nine-point victory.
The Bluejays sank 10-of-24 shots from long range in the game, while the Panthers went just 6-of-20 from behind the arc.
