South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - Luke Harangody poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a 91-74 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats in Big East play at the Joyce Center.
Kyle McAlarney added 22 points for Notre Dame (13-3, 3-1 BE), and Rob Kurz netted 17 points to go with a game-high 10 rebounds. The Irish has now won 31 consecutive games at home, including all 11 this season.
John Williamson, Deonta Vaughn and Larry Davis all tallied 10 points to lead Cincinnati (8-9, 3-2), which had its two-game win streak snapped.
Cincinnati held Notre Dame to a dismal 24.0 percent from the floor during the first period of play, enabling the Bearcats to take a 34-27 lead into the break.
The Irish battled back during the second stanza, and hit a blazing 69.2 percent from the field, in addition to a 22-of-26 effort at the foul line, to take the 17-point victory.
Notre Dame won the battle on the boards, 40-36, and it also held a decisive, 34-8, advantage in free-throw points.
