Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Clarence Jackson came off the bench and netted a game-high 13 points, as the Siena Saints downed the Canisius Golden Griffins, 72-44, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at the Koessler Center.
In 18 minutes of action, Jackson made 4-of-12 shots from the floor and grabbed five rebounds, as Siena (10-6, 5-1 MAAC) won its second game in a row. Ronald Moore put forth 10 points and nine assists, and Edwin Ubiles also tallied 10 points in the winning effort.
For Canisius (2-14, 0-6), Frank Turner was the only player to reach double figures, finishing with 12 points and five rebounds. The Griffins have now dropped four consecutive games.
The Saints used a 20-6 run in the first half to open a 34-25 lead at the intermission.
In the second stanza, Siena held Canisius to a dismal 30.4 percent shooting effort from the floor, as it pulled away for the 28-point win.
The Saints dominated the boards, 45-29, and they also scored 28 points off 23 Canisius' turnovers.
