NCAA Game Summary - Loyola-Maryland at Fairfield

Final Score: Loyola-Maryland 67 - Fairfield 63

Fairfield, CT (Sports Network) - Brett Harvey tallied a team-best 20 points as the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds posted a 67-63 win over the Fairfield Stags in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Arena at Harbor Yard.

Gerald Brown chipped in 19 points for the Greyhounds (7-9, 3-2 MAAC) as they won for the second time in the last three outings.

The Stags (5-10, 3-2) were led by Herbie Allen who generated a game-high 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field as the team had its two-game win streak snapped.

Neither team shot the ball particularly well from the field in the first half and with a total of just six field goals Fairfield found itself trailing at the break, 28-21.

In the second half the Stags picked up the pace at 50 percent from the floor, but at the same time Loyola was able to convert an even more impressive 57.1 percent from the field, en route to the four-point triumph.

The Greyhounds turned the ball over 15 times and allowed Fairfield to convert 7-of-15 shots from three-point range, yet still found a way to survive.
