NCAA Game Summary - Richmond at LaSalle

Final Score: Richmond 75 - La Salle 74

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Dan Geriot poured in 31 points as the Richmond Spiders held off the LaSalle Explorers, 75-74 at Tom Gola Arena.

Kevin Anderson added 13 points, Ryan Butler had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Spiders (8-6, 1-0 Atlantic 10), who have won four straight.

Rodney Green scored 23 points and Darnell Harris added 21 for the Explorers (4-9, 0-1), who have lost five in a row.

Leading 74-73 in the third overtime, LaSalle had a golden opportunity to pad its lead. Harris missed a layup and Kyle Griffin misfired from three- point range. Griffin, though, did get the offensive rebound and called timeout with 42 seconds left.

Out of the timeout, Griffin had the ball taken away by Richmond's Gaston Moliva, whose dunk with 17 ticks remaining put the Spiders ahead 75-74.

The Explorers had two chances to win the game, but Green's jumper was off the mark and after a jump ball, Griffin's three at the buzzer airballed.

LaSalle erased a 15-point deficit early in the second half. Richmond's Oumar Sylla's desperation three at the buzzer sent the game into overtime tied at 57.

LaSalle's Terrell Williams missed a jumper as time expired in the first extra session.

Butler scored all six of Richmond's points in the second overtime, but Griffin's triple with 53 seconds to go tied the contest at 68.

LaSalle had an opportunity to win the game but a Harris 15-footer was no good sending the game into triple overtime.

Geriot shot 11-of-13 but fouled out with 2:23 left in the first overtime.
