Towson, MD (Sports Network) - Gerald Lee scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, leading the Old Dominion Monarchs in a 71-59 Colonial Athletic Association victory over the Towson Tigers at the Towson Center.
Darius James netted 15 points off the bench in the ODU (8-8, 3-1 CAA) victory. Abdi Lidonde and Brian Henderson chipped in 10 points apiece.
C.C. Williams scored 15 points to lead Towson (5-9, 1-3) in a losing effort. Junior Hairston added 13 points to go with nine rebounds, while Jonathan Pease finished with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
ODU held Towson to 32-percent shooting in the first half, which enabled the Monarchs to grab a 30-21 halftime lead.
The Monarchs held on by converting a solid 56.5-percent of their attempts from the field in the second stanza.
The Tigers were limited to just 36.8-percent shooting in the loss, including a paltry 8-of-32 from beyond the arc.
