Springfield, MO (Sports Network) - Dale Lamberth scored a game-high 27 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Missouri State Bears captured a 71-47 win over the Wichita State Shockers in Missouri Valley Conference action at the Hammons Student Center.

Lamberth came off the bench for the Bears (9-7, 2-2 MVC) and shot not only 10- of-15 from the field, but 6-of-9 behind the three-point line as the team won for the second time in the last three games. Spencer Laurie added 13 points and seven assists, while Deven Mitchell and Justin Fuehrmeyer responded with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Shockers (8-7, 1-3), losers of three of their last four, were paced by Phillip Thomasson and Gal Mekel who both tallied 11 points and combined for 14 rebounds on the night.

WSU made a mere 6-of-30 attempts from the field in the first half, resulting in a 36-22 deficit at the break.

In the second half the Bears, who scored the first 13 points of the contest and never looked back, made all seven of their free-throw attempts, en route to the commanding 24-point home win.

Missouri State made good on 11-of-23 beyond the arc and all 10 chances at the charity stripe, all while turning the ball over just nine times.
