Waco, TX (Sports Network) - LaceDarius Dunn knocked down 7-of-8 shots behind the three-point line to finish with a game-high 27 points as the Baylor Bears defeated the Brown Bears, 72-62, in non-conference action at the Ferrell Center.
Dunn missed just three of his 13 field goal attempts on the night for Baylor (12-2) as they won their seventh game in the last eight opportunities. Kevin Rogers contributed 14 points and Aaron Bruce 11 in the victory as well.
Brown (8-6) was paced by Mark McAndrew who tallied 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds, while Peter Sullivan and Damon Huffman 11 and 10 points, respectively, as the squad had its brief two-game win streak snapped.
Baylor not only shot 56 percent from the field in the first half, it also made 6-of-11 behind the three-point line, en route to a 34-25 lead at the break.
In the second half the home team continued to shoot well from the floor (54.2 percent) and out on the perimeter (5-of-7) in the 10-point decision.
Thanks to 55.1 percent shooting from the field on the night, Baylor was left to collect just three offensive rebounds, although it didn't matter in the final analysis.
