Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Jason Thompson recorded a double-double with 18 points and a game-high 15 rebounds as the Rider Broncs doubled-up on the Canisius Golden Griffins, 102-51, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
Jason Thompson, who made all 10 of his free-throw attempts on the afternoon, also added four assists for the Broncs (9-6, 2-2 MAAC) as they snapped a two- game slide. Lamar Johnson added 21 points off the bench, Ryan Thompson 15 points and five assists, while Kamron Warner chipped in 10 points in 17 minutes off the bench.
The Griffs (2-12, 0-4) were led by Elton Frazier who logged a game-high 22 points in a backup role as the squad lost for the second time in as many games and the fourth in the last five outings.
Rider attacked the visitors from the perimeter in the first half, converting 8- of-18 from three-point range, en route to a commanding 54-25 advantage at the break.
With the game well in hand, the Broncs settled in to shoot an even 50 percent from the field in the second half, including 7-of-15 behind the three-point line, as they cruised to the 51-point triumph.
Rider, which turned the ball over just 11 times, made good on 25-of-30 attempts at the free-throw line and 15-of-33 beyond the arc, compared to just 6-of-24 for Canisius from long range.
