Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Johnnie Bryant scored a game-high 22 points as the Utah Runnin' Utes posted a commanding 58-36 win over the Air Force Falcons in Mountain West Conference play at the Huntsman Center.
Bryant made good on 6-of-14 shots behind the three-point line on the afternoon as the Utes (9-4, 1-0 MWC) won for the fourth time in the last five outings.
The Falcons (8-6, 0-1) failed to have a single player score in double figures, with reserve Andrew Henke coming up with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting behind the three-point line in the team's second straight setback.
Utah made a total of just five field goals in the first half, but all of them came from beyond the arc, with the squad also connecting on 14-of-17 at the free-throw line to take a 29-23 lead at the break.
The Air Force offense was completely off the mark in the second half as it converted a pitiful 3-of-18 from the floor, en route to the 22-point setback.
The Falcons, who were beaten by Utah by a score of 45-35 back in 2003, finished the day shooting 31.4 percent from the field and were dominated on the glass, 33-18.
Luke Nevill finished with just seven points for the Utes and grabbed 10 rebounds, but in the process he became the 19th player in program history to log at least 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in his career.
