Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Ricky Franklin's game-high 24 points paced the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers in a 75-64 victory over the Wright State Raiders in Horizon League action at U.S. Cellular Arena.
Franklin hit an impressive 8-of-11 from the field, including five three- pointers in the Panthers' (6-7, 1-2 HL) third straight win. Paige Paulsen added 15 points, and Deion James came off the bench to tally 12 points.
The Raiders (8-4, 1-2) lost for the first time in six games, as Todd Brown paced WSU with 21 points. Vaughn Duggins contributed 19 points, and Jordan Pleiman chipped in with 10 points.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee could hardly miss from behind the arc in the first half, hitting 9-of-16 from long range to take a 37-30 lead at halftime.
The Panthers made just nine field goals in the second half, but sunk 17-of-22 from the charity stripe to walk away with the 11-point victory.
Though the Raiders outscored the Panthers 34-18 in the paint, it was Wisconsin- Milwaukee's 12 three-pointers that made the difference.
