NCAA Game Summary - Georgia Southern at Davidson
Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - Stephen Curry notched a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds, as the Davidson Wildcats trounced the Georgia Southern Eagles, 92-67, in a Southern Conference battle at Belk Arena.
Curry finished the game 8-of-19 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the foul line, as he became the 38th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau for his career. Thomas Sander posted 18 points and seven rebounds for Davidson (5-6, 3-0 SoCon), while Jason Richards recorded a double-double of his own with 16 points and game-best 11 assists.
Julian Allen was the only player for Georgia Southern (9-4, 2-1) to reach double figures, as he tallied a double-double with 21 points and 10 boards. The Eagles have now dropped two straight games.
The Wildcats shot 44.7 percent from the field in the first half and they carried a 45-31 lead into the break.
In the second stanza, Davidson made good on 5-of-13 attempts from long range and 12-of-16 at the foul line, as it coasted to the 25-point triumph.
The Wildcats outscored the Eagles at the foul line, 21-8, and they also won the battle on the boards, 48-38.
