Robin Smeulders posted a game-high 22 points off the bench to lead Portland (5-9). Nik Raivio tallied 17 points.
Yale shot 55.6 percent from the floor in the first half, as the Bulldogs took a comfortable 40-28 lead into the break.
The Bulldogs continued to pour it on in the second stanza, converting a scorching 72.7 percent of their field goals to pull away for the 18-point victory.
Portland relied on three-point shooting throughout the contest, though the Pilots converted just 7-of-22 from beyond the arc.
