Norfolk, VA (Sports Network) - Gerald Lee poured in a game-high 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, leading the Old Dominion Monarchs to a 75-54 victory over the Hofstra Pride in Colonial Athletic Association action at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
Brian Henderson added 15 points in the ODU (7-7, 2-0 CAA) win, and Brandon Johnson chipped in 11.
Darren Townes led Hofstra (2-9, 0-2) with 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Charles Jenkins finished with 15 points.
ODU held the Pride 33.3-percent shooting in the first half, as the Monarchs went into the break with a slim 32-31 lead.
The Monarchs exploded in the second stanza, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and adding 9-of-12 from the charity stripe en route to the 21-point victory.
The cold-shooting Pride hit a mere 32.8 percent of their attempts from the floor in the loss.
