Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Jonathan Wallace scored 19 points as seventh-ranked Georgetown cruised past Fordham, 82-55, at the Verizon Center.
DaJuan Summers posted 15 points and nine rebounds for Georgetown (10-1), which is a perfect 7-0 at home on the season. Five Hoyas finished in double figures, including Austin Freeman with 12.
Marcus Stout poured in a game-high 27 points and Bryant Dunston scored 20 for Fordham (6-6), which had won three of four coming in.
Summers had 13 points and six rebounds before the break to help give Georgetown a 50-27 halftime lead. The Hoyas were a scorching 8-of-12 from three-point range and shot 64.5 percent from the floor overall, compared to just 23.5 percent for Fordham.
The Hoyas started the game on a 10-2 run to establish dominance early. That was quickly followed by a 14-0 run that blew Georgetown's lead up to 29-6. Summers had the last five points in that burst, including a fastbreak dunk to cap it with about 13 minutes remaining.
The rout continued as the first half wore on, and the deficit got to 30 with 9:10 remaining when Summers drilled a three.
Fordham made it a little more respectable by the end of the stanza, but was unable to pull within striking distance at any point in the second half.
