Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - Ramel Bradley scored 22 points and Jodie Meeks added 21, leading Kentucky to a 92-49 rout of Florida International at Rupp Arena.
Patrick Patterson chipped in 20 points and Joe Crawford contributed 11 for the Wildcats (6-6), who had lost five of their previous six games. Kentucky closes its non-conference schedule Saturday with a matchup against Louisville.
Russell Hicks scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead FIU (3-9), which has lost six straight games.
A layup by Hicks gave FIU the first two points of the game, but it was all Kentucky from there. The Wildcats ran off the next 10, including four from Patterson.
Hicks pulled the Golden Panthers within 13-9 with a jumper, but Kentucky followed with a 15-3 run to pull away. A three-pointer by Crawford with seven minutes left in the half gave the Wildcats a comfortable 28-12 cushion.
Back-to-back three-pointers from Bradley and Meeks extended the advantage to 21 with just over five minutes remaining and Kentucky took a 43-21 lead to the intermission.
Bradley scored 13 points and Meeks added 12 in the opening 20 minutes for Kentucky, which shot 50 percent and made 7-of-13 from beyond the arc.
FIU never threatened in the second half, getting only as close as 15 in the early stages before Kentucky blew it wide open with a 20-4 run to make it 65-34 with just over 10 minutes remaining.
