NCAA Game Summary - Princeton at Rutgers
Piscataway, NJ (Sports Network) - JR Inman scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to a 54-50 win over the Princeton Tigers in a non-conference showdown at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.
Jaron Griffin added 13 points for the Scarlet Knights (5-2).
The Tigers (2-5) were led by Lincoln Gunn, who scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
Princeton got hot from the outside in the first half, drilling 6-of-10 three- point attempts to take a 30-25 lead at the break.
Rutgers stormed back in the second stanza, as the club earned a 9-1 edge in points from the foul line over the final 20 minutes en route to a four-point come-from-behind victory.
The Scarlet Knights won the battle in the paint, outrebounding the Tigers 34-29 while outscoring Princeton 18-14 in the post.
