Dartmouth (8-8) at Princeton (3-12)

GAME NOTES: The Princeton Tigers welcome the Dartmouth Big Green to town for an Ivy League clash. Dartmouth has won its last three games to improve to 8-8 overall, and the club owns a 1-1 league record. Both Ivy contests have come against Harvard, as the teams split a home-and-home series. The Big Green have played its last two games against non-conference foes, and they have been idle since an 86-62 romp over Maryland-Eastern Shore on January 23rd. As for Princeton, it is finally set to open the Ivy League portion of its schedule, a welcomed change after finishing 3-12 against non-conference foes. On a positive note, the Tigers are coming off a victory, as they cruised past Dominican on Sunday by a 60-46 final. Princeton holds a 134-59 series lead over Dartmouth, but the Big Green have won the last two meetings.

Alex Barnett and DeVon Mosley have both started all 16 games for Dartmouth this season, and they are the only two double-digit scorers on the roster. Barnett is posting 16.6 ppg to go along with 7.0 rpg, and he has blocked 24 shots as well. As for Mosley, he checks in with 12.6 ppg despite his 38.6 percent shooting from the floor. The Big Green are averaging 65.9 ppg while allowing 69.6 ppg to the opposition. In the romp over UMES last time out, Dartmouth connected on 55.9 percent of its field goal attempts, including a 7-of-13 showing from three-point range. The club also racked up 23 assists and earned a 37-31 rebounding edge. Barnett had 21 points and seven rebounds in that tilt, while Mosley contributed 16 points and eight boards. Robby Price pitched in 11 points off the bench, and Johnathan Ball tallied 10 points.

Princeton has struggled mightily at the offensive end of the floor this season, scoring a mere 55.3 ppg on 42.3 percent shooting from the floor. The Tigers are yielding 63.5 ppg to the opposition and have lost their share of close games. Zach Finley is the team's only double-digit scorer, as he is netting 11.1 ppg for Princeton. In the welcomed victory over Dominican, the Tigers turned the ball over 21 times but were able to overcome those miscues with strong play in other aspects of the game. For instance, they nailed 8-of-19 three-pointers and earned a 38-29 rebounding advantage. Also, they limited the opposition to 34 percent shooting from the field. Lincoln Gunn scored 13 points in the triumph, and Finley added 12 points.

Princeton may have restored some lost confidence with the win over Dominican, and a narrow triumph over Dartmouth is a possibility. Still, nothing will come easy for the Tigers.
