Siena (12-6) at Loyola-Maryland (9-10)

GAME NOTES: Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rivals meet at Reitz Arena in Baltimore tonight, as the Siena Saints visit the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds. Siena comes into this matchup red-hot, having notched victories in six of its last eight games, including four straight. The club's most recent success came in the form of a 77-49 trouncing of Canisius on Monday night to improve its 2007-08 record to 12-6, and its MAAC ledger to 7-1. As for Loyola, it comes in riding a modest streak of its own, having won two straight and three of its last five overall. Loyola defeated Saint Peter's by a 62-57 margin its last time on the hardwood to improve to 9-10 on the season and 5-3 in conference. Siena holds a commanding 31-11 advantage over Loyola in terms of the all-time series between these two foes.

The Saints average 77.4 ppg, and are led by Edwin Ubiles and his 16.8 ppg. Kenny Hasbrouck checks in as the club's second-leading scorer with 14.6 ppg, while Alex Franklin has been responsible for 13.9 ppg and heads the team in rebounding with 7.3 rpg. Ronald Moore is on the cusp of a double-digit scoring average, as he puts up 9.6 ppg while leading the Saints in assists (97). Ubiles poured in a game-high 20 points to pace Siena in Monday night's 28-point win over Canisius, a game in which the Saints shot 45.2 percent from the floor. Chris De la Rosa added 10 points to go with five assists off the bench to join Ubiles in double figures. Siena scored 23 points off 18 Golden Griffin turnovers, and the Saints held Canisius to 39.6 percent shooting from the field.

The Greyhounds currently boast just one starter averaging in double digits, as Gerald Brown is netting 18.4 ppg. Michael Tuck could join Brown shortly, however, as he is scoring 9.7 ppg while leading the club in rebounding with 7.2 rpg. The Greyhounds used free throws to their advantage in last Saturday's five-point victory over Saint Peter's, converting 19-of-23. It was a good thing too, as Loyola struggled to hit its field goals, doing so at just a 36.7 percent clip. The Peacocks didn't fare much better (37.5 percent). Michael Tuck posted game-highs in both points (22) and rebounds (16) to lead Loyola, while Brett Harvey and Marquis Sullivan netted 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Give the edge to Siena here, even on the road, as the Saints have simply been on fire lately. Loyola doesn't match up well here, and will have its hands full from the opening tip.
