Towson (6-9) at UNC-Wilmington (9-8)

GAME NOTES: Colonial Athletic Association action takes place tonight in North Carolina, as the Towson Tigers and the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks tangle at Trask Coliseum. The Tigers snapped a two-game slide their last time on the hardwood, posting an 86-77 victory over Drexel on Saturday. The win improved Towson's 2007-08 ledger to 6-9, and put the club at 2-3 in the CAA. As for UNCW, the Seahawks dropped their fourth decision in five games on Saturday night, suffering a 93-74 trouncing at James Madison. The loss dropped UNCW to 9-8 on the season and 2-3 in league play. UNCW leads the all-time series between these two clubs, clinging to an 11-7 edge.

The Tigers connected on 50.0 percent of their field goal attempts in the recent win over Drexel, including a 10-of-19 showing from long range. Jonathan Pease matched a career-high with 25 points to lead Towson, and he added 11 rebounds. Josh Thornton tallied 16 points while Junior Hairston added 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the victory. Rocky Coleman and Tony Durant joined the trio in double figures, chipping in 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench. Hairston leads the Tigers in scoring this season, checking in with 13.9 ppg to go with 11.2 rpg. Rodney Spruill accounts for the club's second leading scorer, with his 12.3 ppg, and Thornton rounds out the double-digit producers with 11.8 ppg.

UNC-Wilmington shot just 36.8 percent from the field during Saturday's 19-point defeat to James Madison, including a miserable 6-of-25 effort from beyond the arc. The Seahawks also struggled at the foul line, converting a mere 58.1 percent (18-of-31) of their attempts. Daniel Fountain led the Seahawks in the losing effort with 14 points, followed by Vladimir Kuljanin with his 13 points and 10 rebounds. T.J. Carter netted 10 points to go with eight boards, and the duo of Josh Sheets and Dominique Lacy chipped in 10 points apiece off the bench. Carter, who is averaging 16.1 ppg, leads the club in scoring this season, followed by Fountain and his 13.5 ppg. The two are joined in double digits by Kuljanin and Todd Hendley, who are responsible for 13.2 and 13.1 ppg, respectively. Kuljanin leads the Seahawks' effort on the glass with 8.9 rpg.

Towson has been dreadful this season on the road, going just 1-6. Give the edge to UNCW at home, as the Seahawks should be able to handle these toothless Tigers.
