NBA Game Summary - Detroit at LA Clippers

Final Score: Detroit 103 - LA Clippers 73

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Tayshaun Prince scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as the Detroit Pistons got back on track with a 103-73 rout of the flailing Los Angeles Clippers.

Rasheed Wallace scored 17 points and had six rebounds for the Pistons, who rebounded from a 103-95 loss to Utah on Wednesday to win their fourth in five games. Richard Hamilton and Juan Dixon each scored 14 points for Detroit, which won its 11th straight over the Clippers.

Detroit won despite playing without Chauncey Billups, who sat for a personal reason. The guard flew back to Detroit Thursday for an undisclosed matter, and it is not known when he is expected back with the club. Rodney Stuckey started in his place -- his first career start -- and finished with nine points.

The Pistons had their second 30-point win to finish their 3-1 road trip. The other came via 116-86 win over the Suns last Sunday.

Corey Maggette scored 22 points for LA, which has dropped five straight. Chris Kaman had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Clips, who haven't beaten the Pistons since November 3, 2002 in Los Angeles.

"We're not playing as a team right now," said Kaman. "Even though we're injured, we have to play the right way, and it's tough right now."

Wallace scored 12 points, and Hamilton scored 10 points in the first quarter, and Detroit edged in front 31-25 heading into the second.

"'Sheed set the tone and did a lot of things early. He makes things easier for guys around him," said Pistons head coach Flip Saunders.

The Clips cut to within one point early in the second, but Detroit took control with a 17-3 push. Jarvis Hayes kicked it off with a three, and Dixon closed it with a jumper, pushing the Pistons ahead 50-35 with 3:15 left in the half.

Detroit led 55-42 at the intermission.

The Pistons pushed their lead to 16 points in the third quarter, and led 76-63 entering the fourth.

The closest the Clippers pulled in the fourth quarter was 16 points, and the Pistons locked up the rout with an 11-0 run late in the period. Hayes drilled a three on the run, which he capped with a layup, posting Detroit to a 99-71 lead with 2:14 left.
