NBA Game Summary - San Antonio at Charlotte

Final Score: San Antonio 95 - Charlotte 86

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan recorded a double-double, with 19 points and 10 rebounds as San Antonio topped Charlotte, 95-86.

Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili added 16 points apiece for the Spurs, who ended a two-game slide. Michael Finley had 13 points and Ime Udoka contributed 11 off the bench.

Emeka Okafor recorded a game-high 21 points and grabbed 10 boards for the Bobcats, who lost for the second time in their last five. Gerald Wallace picked up 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists, and Jason Richardson scored 13 in the loss.

Already up by six heading into the fourth, San Antonio failed to give an inch to its opponent. Duncan cruised though the lane for a dunk with 5:35 to play to put the Spurs up 11, then a floating shot from Parker made it a 15- point advantage with three minutes to play and effectively closed out the game.

"We were really aggressive, and played very physically," said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. "Our defense was strong for all 48 minutes, and we were able to get a win on the road."

Charlotte began the game with a 10-5 lead on a Wallace jumper, and maintained an advantage through the quarter, leading 27-26 after one.

The Spurs turned around and started the second quarter at a 9-2 pace, led by Ginobili's running layup for a 35-29 lead with just under three minutes played.

Richardson sank a three to bring the Bobcats within 45-43 with 3:39 left in the half, but the Spurs ended on a 12-4 burst to take a seven-point edge at the break.

Okafor's tip-in just before the halfway point of the third cut Charlotte's deficit to 60-57, then San Antonio's 8-2 surge pushed them ahead 68-59 on Finley's three with 4:38 remaining. Although Matt Carroll's free throw brought the home team within four, Ginobili's jumper to end the quarter sent the Spurs up 73-67 after three.

"They're a great team, one of the best in the league, if not the best," Wallace noted of the Spurs. "In order for us to be a team like that, we have to play a perfect games."
