NBA Game Summary - Chicago at Memphis

Final Score: Chicago 90 - Memphis 104

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Mike Miller and Rudy Gay dropped 24 points apiece to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 104-90 victory over the Chicago Bulls at FedEx Forum.

Miller hit 8-of-14 field-goal attempts and Gay made 7-of-17 from the floor to and each had 10 rebounds, and the duo combined to hit five three-pointers, as Memphis won for the second time in its last three games.

Pau Gasol added 12 points and 10 boards and Hakim Warrick contributed 12 points off the bench for the Grizzlies, who shot 52.1 percent from the floor and hit 8-of-17 attempts from beyond the arc as a team.

"It was good to see our defense step up," said Grizzlies head coach Marc Iavaroni. "There were a lot of deflections and a lot of activity. (Kyle) Lowry came in with a lot of energy and gave us energy down the stretch. Rudy Gay on the glass it was good to see. He needs to do that every night. It was great to see him stay in his stance and I'm proud of his defense."

Ben Gordon had 25 to lead the Bulls, who were limited to 36.5 percent shooting and never really recovered from a late first-half Grizzlies run that put them in a double-digit hole.

Andres Nocioni finished with 16 and Kirk Hinrich scored 12 to go with his six assists for Chicago, which had won two of three coming in. Luol Deng also scored 13 points.

"I thought we played soft," Deng said. "We have to get more physical. They did what they wanted to offensively."

Chicago led 2-0, and then never again. Memphis held a 22-17 edge after one quarter, then closed the second on a 12-0 surge to take a 48-35 advantage into the locker room.

The Grizzlies opened things up with a 10-3 spurt late in the third that made it 70-54 with 1:27 remaining in the quarter. Chicago rallied to pull back within 12, at 74-62, by the end of the stanza, and was within 10 after Gordon hit a three with 7:20 to go in the fourth.

But Stromile Swift rammed home an alley-oop from Gasol, and Miller drained a three-pointer to push the lead back to 87-72, and Juan Carlos Navarro's three- ball with 5:33 to go made it a 92-75 game.

Chicago couldn't pull within single digits the rest of the way, with Miller and Gay draining back-to-back threes to push the cushion back to 16 and thwart a final push from the Bulls.
