Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Mike Miller scored 25 points and Pau Gasol added 24 points, 12 boards and five assists as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated Seattle, 124-100, handing the SuperSonics their worst losing streak in over 35 years.

Juan Carlos Navarro chipped in with 21 points off the bench for Memphis, which snapped a five-game skid. Bobby Jones had 20 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists.

Kevin Durant had a team-high 22 points for Seattle, which dropped its ninth game in a row. It's the Sonics' longest skid since dropping nine straight from Oct. 29 - Nov. 15, 1972. Wally Szczerbiak contributed 19 points, while Chris Wilcox had 13 points and Nick Collison scored 12.

Although Memphis led by as many as 14 in the first quarter, a Luke Ridnour layup in the closing seconds pulled Seattle within seven, 32-25, after the first 12 minutes.

A Jones dunk with 8:29 left, capped a 12-4 Memphis run to begin the second quarter. The surge gave the Grizzlies a 15-point, 44-29 cushion.

The Sonics cut their deficit to 57-47 on Durant's turnaround jumper with just over two minutes left in the half, but Miller connected on a layup with 1:34 left to spark an 11-0 Memphis end to the second stanza. The Grizzlies went into the locker room with a 68-47 lead.

The Grizzlies opened a 90-58 lead on a Gasol layup with 5:29 left in the third. Seattle never threatened again and Memphis headed into the fourth quarter leading 102-72.

The Sonics pulled within 23 points, 109-86, on a pair of Johan Petro free throws with just under seven minutes to play, but the Grizzlies were able to cruise.
