Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Brandon Roy scored 24 points and the streaking Portland Trail Blazers stayed hot by coming back to down the listless Miami Heat, 98-91.

Miami has dropped 12 in a row, tied for the third-longest losing streak in franchise history. The Heat last lost 12 straight in November and December of 2001. The franchise-worst 17-game skid came in November and December of 1988.

Travis Outlaw scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench for the Blazers, who have won 19 of 22. LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points and seven rebounds for Portland, which outscored the Heat 29-15 in the fourth quarter.

Dwyane Wade scored 37 points, including a 20-point explosion in the third quarter, for the Heat, who last won on December 22, when they topped the Jazz in Miami. Shaquille O'Neal had 20 points and 11 boards, and Ricky Davis added 14 points for the Heat.

"We were able to recover and win the game," said Blazers head coach Nate McMillan. "That is part of the growth that we are starting to see. We were rattled for a bit, but we came together and calmed down."

The Heat had taken a seven-point lead into the fourth quarter, but it was Portland that led by eight with two and half minutes left. Davis and Jason Williams drained consecutive three-pointers, the second cutting the Portland lead to 90-88 with two minutes remaining.

Outlaw answered with a jumper, and James Jones drained a three from the corner to put the Blazers up 95-88 with 37.8 seconds left. Daequan Cook answered with a quick trey of his own, though, pulling Miami within 95-91 with 28.3 ticks left.

Outlaw made one-of-two free throws with 24.2 seconds left, but a Williams turnover put Outlaw back at the line, and he drained both free throws this time to seal the win with 17.3 seconds left.

Portland recovered from an early 14-6 deficit to finish the first quarter on a 16-2 run and take a 22-16 lead into the second.

The Blazers pushed their lead into double figures midway through the second quarter, as an Outlaw dunk put Portland ahead 39-29, and the road team took a 50-41 lead into the break.

Wade went off in the third quarter, scoring the first 14 Miami points of the frame. His three-pointer with eight-tenths of a second remaining gave Wade 20 points in the quarter, and put the Heat ahead 76-69 lead entering the final 12 minutes.

"The third quarter was probably the best quarter we've played in two years around here," said Wade. "We thought that was the turning point, but it wasn't."
