NBA Game Summary - Atlanta at Toronto

Final Score: Atlanta 78 - Toronto 89

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Chris Bosh scored 35 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Toronto Raptors past the Atlanta Hawks, 89-78, at the Air Canada Centre.

Anthony Parker added 18 points for the Raptors, who have won two straight and five of their last six contests. Jose Calderon chipped in with 13 points and dished out eight assists.

Joe Johnson scored 25 points and doled out seven assists for the Hawks, who have lost two in a row. Josh Smith contributed 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had seven assists, while Marvin Williams dropped 13 points and had nine rebounds.

The Hawks made it a two-point game, 73-71, on Johnson's three-pointer with 6:41 remaining in the final frame.

After two Bosh free throws and a jumper from Atlanta's Tyronn Lue, Parker hit a three-ball that led to eight-unanswered Toronto points. The Raptors were up 83-73 with 3 1/2 minutes to play.

The Hawks never got closer than seven points and the Raptors cruised to victory.

"They made some tough shots," Joe Johnson said. "I think pretty much every three they hit in the fourth had a hand in their face. I thought we played pretty good defense, they just made tough shots."

Calderon's jumper in the waning seconds remaining in the first quarter gave the Raptors a 27-22 advantage heading into the second stanza.

With 41.3 ticks remaining in the half, Anthony Johnson was ejected from the game for elbowing Calderon on the back of the head. Calderon hit both of the ensuing flagrant foul free throws and Toronto was up 42-38, the Raptors took a 44-39 into the locker room.

"It was nothing," Calderon said. "The truth is I don't know what happened. I didn't see the video, my teammates told me. It doesn't matter, it sometimes happens on the court. I don't know what he was thinking."

Al Horford scored the first four points of the third quarter as the Hawks opened the second half on a 10-0 run. Horford also capped the run with a layup, as Atlanta led 49-44 with 8:54 left in the third.

After exchanging baskets for the next few minutes, two Joey Graham free throws sparked a 17-4 Toronto run to end the quarter. Parker connected on two treys to end the surge and send the Raptors into the fourth quarter ahead 67-60.
