NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Seattle

Final Score: LA Lakers 123 - Seattle 121

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Kobe Bryant's jumper with 4.3 seconds left in overtime lifted the Los Angeles Lakers to a 123-121 win over the Seattle SuperSonics.

Bryant finished the game with a season-high 48 points and Kwame Brown had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who are on a season-high seven-game winning streak.

Nick Collison had 24 points and 18 rebounds while Kevin Durant added 19 points for the Sonics, who have dropped their last seven games.

The Lakers learned before the game that an MRI exam on center Andrew Bynum revealed that he has suffered a subluxation of the patella and a bone bruise in his left knee and will miss a minimum of eight weeks.

In the overtime, Seattle held a 121-117 lead after Kurt Thomas drained a two- pointer with 3:03 to play.

However, after Thomas missed a pair of free throws, Bryant put in a short jumper and, after a Luke Ridnour miss, he kissed a shot off the backboard to tie the game.

After Earl Watson missed a 17-footer, Lamar Odom came down with the ball and LA called timeout with 20.3 left.

Bryant took the inbounds pass and from 18 feet out and nailed a jumper to give the Lakers a 123-121 lead with just 4.3 seconds to go.

Seattle called a timeout and got the ball inbounds, but Collison missed on a clean 18-footer from the right side and the Lakers held on for the win.

Despite 12 points from Bryant in the first quarter, the Lakers trailed, 29-28, on the strength of a three-pointer from Wally Szczerbiak late in the frame.

Los Angeles scored the first 12 points of the second quarter, with seven coming from Ronny Turiaf, but Seattle later had a 9-0 run and trailed, 64-62 heading into the locker room.

Seattle trailed for the first half of the third quarter, but Szczerbiak's trey from straightaway with 5:16 to play gave his team a 77-76 lead. The lead went back and forth for the next couple of minutes, but baskets from Chris Wilcox and Collison gave Seattle a 91-87 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Sonics got the first four points of the quarter on consecutive baskets from Collison. A pair of buckets later in the frame by Javaris Crittenton cut the Lakers' deficit to 97-96 with a little over eight minutes left in the fourth.

The score see-sawed back and forth over the next several minutes before a three-pointer by Bryant and a pair of free throws from Luke Walton gave the Lakers a 115-112 lead with 1:05 to play.

Durant, though, drained a three from the left side with 46.3 seconds left and Watson stripped Bryant of the ball in the final seconds to force overtime.
