New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Bobby Jackson scored 25 of the 50 points by New Orleans reserves - going a perfect 7-for-7 from three-point range - as the Hornets pummeled the Miami Heat, 114-88.

Jackson's accuracy set a new franchise mark for the Hornets for most three's made without a miss. It also tied Jackson for the third-longest stretch in NBA history.

"I don't think I've shot that many threes," Jackson said. "I'm happy they were falling tonight. Everything I shot felt good. I felt like I was going to make every shot that I shot. The basket feels real big when you have that type of confidence, and this game is all about confidence."

Tyson Chandler led the starters with a 19-point effort, while Chris Paul had 16 points and doled out 16 assists for New Orleans, which has won four of five and nine of 11 overall. David West finished with 11 points and 10 boards, while Peja Stojakovic was strong with a 15-point night.

"The script was set pretty good and we pretty much followed it to a T," Hornets coach Byron Scott said. "I thought in the first quarter for the first five or six minutes we were playing their type of tempo..and we urged the guys to be more aggressive and get up and down the floor, and once we got into that mode, we got into a natural rhythm."

Mark Blount poured in a game-high 27 points for Miami, which has dropped 10 straight overall and nine consecutive road games. The Heat wrapped up a winless five-game road swing, and are a dismal 4-18 as the visitors this season.

"It was an absolute washout for us," Heat coach Pat Riley said. "We could never get anything going...we cut it to five in the third quarter, and I thought we had a chance, but we just lost our resolve."

Jason Williams donated 12 points and Dwyane Wade was held to 11 for Miami, which played its eighth straight game without center Shaquille O'Neal, who has been sidelined with a sore left hip.

New Orleans looked strong at the start, opening the game on Morris Peterson's three-point shot and assuming a 6-0 lead on Paul's trey a short time later. Miami answered with an 8-0 run, but the teams then went back and forth until a Stojakovic jumper with 3:39 left in the first gave the Hornets an 18-16 edge.

Jackson and Paul then combined to go 4-for-4 from the line, with Jackson draining three consecutive chances from beyond the arc. Miami answered with a few quick buckets of their own, but a Paul jumper gave New Orleans a 32-24 lead heading to the second quarter.

The game was never in doubt after that, as the Hornets opened a double-digit margin on a Ryan Bowen lay-in early in the second, then used an 11-1 spurt to spark the blowout.

It was 55-41 at the break, and 86-66 by the end of the third quarter.

New Orleans outscored Miami by a 28-22 clip the rest of the way, and with the game well out of reach, held the ball for the final 19 seconds.
