NBA Game Summary - Detroit at Toronto

Final Score: Detroit 101 - Toronto 85

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Richard Hamilton scored 22 points and Rasheed Wallace added 20 as the Detroit Pistons won their 11th straight game with a 101-85 victory at Toronto.

Chauncey Billups chipped in with 18 and nine assists for Detroit, which has not lost since an 80-77 defeat in Houston on December 12 and owns the longest current run in the NBA. It is also the club's longest streak since winning 11 straight in January 2006.

"We are definitely satisfied with how we are playing right now. Who wouldn't be?" said Billups. "11 straight games -- it is an amazing feat in this game with a lot of great players and a lot of great teams. We are definitely happy about that."

Tayshaun Prince had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Jason Maxiell poured in 11 off the bench for the Pistons, who host Eastern Conference-leading Boston on Saturday night.

Chris Bosh had 23 points and 16 rebounds for Toronto, which has dropped five of seven. Andrea Bargnani scored 25 points, one shy of his career best, while Jose Calderon donated 15 points and Jamario Moon had 10.

"They are a good team and they don't have to talk about intensity and raising the bar for themselves," said Bosh, of the Pistons. "They kind of put us to sleep a little bit, they were real methodical, and when it was time to make plays they turned it on and were really aggressive. We just have to start off games differently because we are a young team."

The Pistons opened the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run, and off Rodney Stuckey's driving finger roll at 10:29, inflated their cushion to 75-64.

Detroit's lead continued to grow, to 83-70 following a Stuckey jumper at 7:54. The Raptors couldn't get closer than 10 the rest of the way.

The game looked like it would be evenly matched in the first quarter, with the lead going back and forth inside of four minutes left. A Prince running jumper at 3:16 helped the Pistons reel off six of the next eight points, however, capped by Billups' driving layup that made it 22-19 heading to the second.

The Raptors continued to sputter, and Stuckey's layup with 2:34 remaining in the second quarter capped a 12-2 run for Detroit that expanded the lead to double digits, 43-32.

Later, Billups and Bargnani traded three-points shots and it was a 48-39 Pistons lead at the break.

Detroit also continued to play frontrunner through the third stanza, though Toronto had cut it to 69-64 heading to the fourth.
