Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Danny Granger scored a game-high 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as the Indiana Pacers rolled past the Atlanta Hawks, 113-91, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Mike Dunleavy did his part with a double-double, 23 points and 12 rebounds, as the Pacers snapped a five-game losing streak.
Kareem Rush scored 20 points off the bench for Indiana, which will travel to Los Angeles to play the Lakers on Sunday.
Josh Childress scored 26 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Atlanta, which has now lost three straight contests.
Josh Smith chipped in with 20 points and five blocks, and the Hawks will host the Nets on Saturday.
Dunleavy's reverse layup with 8:25 left in the first quarter sparked a 9-0 Indiana run that saw the Pacers lead 16-8.
"Just flat," Hawks head coach Mike Woodson said. "We came out so flat, especially from a defensive standpoint. We didn't respond. I have to take the blame for that. They made it tough for us to score."
However, Smith hit a free throw with five seconds left, as the Hawks closed the quarter out on an 8-2 run, to trail the Pacers 24-20 after the first stanza.
A Smith three-point play put the Hawks up 37-36 midway through the second quarter.
Moments later though, the Pacers responded with an 18-4 run that was capped by a Rush three-pointer with 1:18 left in the half. The run increased Indiana's lead to 54-41. Two late Joe Johnson free throws made it 54-43 at halftime.
"We tried to play and correct the shortcomings of things we were not doing in the losses," Indiana's Marquis Daniels said. "We played hard every step of the way and played well most of the time. It was a very important game for us and I think the whole team felt this way. I think this is a step in the right direction."
The Pacers opened the second half with a 15-5 run sparked by two straight Jermaine O'Neal layups, en route to outscoring the Hawks 33-18 in the third frame.
Granger had 12 points in the quarter and Indiana led 87-61 heading into the fourth.
Atlanta managed to outscore Indiana in the fourth quarter, 30-26, but it was too little too late as the Hawks couldn't overcome the 16-point deficit they began the quarter with.
