NBA Game Summary - Indiana at Charlotte

Final Score: Indiana 103 - Charlotte 107

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace poured in a season-high 36 points -- including eight during the overtime period -- and the Charlotte Bobcats erased a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit on their way to snapping a four-game losing streak with a 107-103 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Wallace went to the foul line 22 times -- seven more than the entire Indiana team -- hit 16 of his free throws, and also pulled down eight rebounds and dished out four assists. Jason Richardson went for 28 and eight boards, while Emeka Okafor had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Jermaine O'Neal led Indiana with 20 points and 13 rebounds, but the Pacers were outscored by a combined 41-26 during the fourth quarter and the extra session on their way to dropping a fourth consecutive game.

"It's always a tough way to lose," said O'Neal of the late collapse. "We've had quite a few games like that this year. We've got to figure out a way to change that."

Wallace sandwiched two Danny Granger free throws with a pair of three-pointers to give Charlotte a 102-98 lead with three minutes to go in overtime before O'Neal hit a turnaround jumper to cut it back to two with 1:14 left.

Richardson then corralled an Okafor miss at the other end and hit one of two from the line before O'Neal's jumper rimmed out at the other end.

Wallace grabbed the rebound with 22 seconds remaining and hit a pair from the line to make it 105-100, and on the next possession iced it with two more.

Raymond Felton finished with seven points and six assists for the Bobcats, who have won each meeting with the Pacers this season, both in Charlotte.

"We were kind of getting beat up throughout," said Bobcats head coach Sam Vincent. "But the guys continued to fight. We got a couple of keys stops, and we pushed the ball."

Mike Dunleavy had 18 for the Pacers, but was shut out in the second half, while Troy Murphy finished with 17 and Granger had 15 and eight boards.

The Pacers led by as many as 13 in the final stanza before Wallace scored nine of the next 11 Bobcats points and Charlotte pulled within 88-85.

Marquis Daniels scored on a driving lay-in, but Richardson knocked down a pair of free throws and Matt Carroll drained a three following another Daniels bucket, making it 92-90 with 1:29 to go.

Andre Owens then missed on a three, and Okafor hit a pair of free throws at the other end to tie the game with 41 seconds on the clock.

O'Neal then hit a jumper to put the Pacers back up, 94-92, with 22 seconds remaining, but Okafor tipped home a Wallace miss at the other end to knot things back up with 13 ticks left.

Indy called a timeout, and O'Neal got a look out of the break that rimmed out, and Wallace's contested miss at the other end sent the game to overtime.

Carroll ended up with eight points off the bench for Charlotte, while Indiana got 14 from Daniels and 15 from Owens, starting in place of injured point guard Jamaal Tinsley for the third straight game.

Charlotte closed the opening quarter on a 16-8 burst to take a 28-24 lead to the second, then extended the edge to 35-29 with a Derek Anderson three- pointer with just under eight minutes to go in the half. Indiana got hot to close out the quarter, though, using a 24-12 burst to take a 53-47 edge into the break.

O'Neal and Granger combined to score seven unanswered points to close out the third quarter, and Indy held a 77-66 edge on its way to the fourth.
