Portland Trail Blazers (33-30) at Cleveland Cavaliers (36-27), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers have gotten an important road trip off to a strong start and will try to keep up that success when they battle the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at Quicken Loans Arena.

Portland has began its crucial five-game trek with victories at Milwaukee and New York, with the win over the Knicks coming in overtime on Saturday. Brandon Roy netted 27 points and LaMarcus Aldridge posted a double-double as the Trail Blazers pulled out a 120-114 decision.

Tied at 108 after regulation, Portland quickly opened up a gap in overtime by scoring six of the first seven points and grabbed a 114-109 lead on an Aldridge hook shot less than two minutes into the extra session.

Aldridge finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Steve Blake contributed 15 points and 10 assists to the winning effort.

The Blazers, who currently trail Golden State by 5 1/2 games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, figure to face a tougher test tonight from a Cleveland squad that is a strong 20-10 at home on the year.

The Cavaliers have also won four of their last five games and are 7-3 in their 10 most recent outings. Cleveland is coming off Saturday's 103-95 victory over Indiana at Quicken Loans Arena, with LeBron James leading the way with 38 points and 11 assists.

Anderson Varejao notched a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Delonte West added 14 points and six assists to help the Cavs record their fifth straight win at home.

Cleveland presently occupies the No. 4 postseason spot in the Eastern Conference and holds a 1 1/2-game advantage on Toronto for that position.

The Cavaliers edged the Blazers, 84-83, at the Rose Garden on January 30 in the lone meeting between these clubs in 2007-08 and is 6-2 in their last eight encounters with Portland.

The Trail Blazers, who are just 11-21 on the road this season, have also lost four in a row in Cleveland since a 114-95 victory on February 2, 2003.
