New York Knicks (18-45) at Dallas Mavericks (40-23), 8:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks continue their five-game homestand as they welcome the New York Knicks to American Airlines Center tonight.

This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. On December 10, Dirk Nowitzki scored 36 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Mavericks over New York, 99-89, at Madison Square Garden.

Dallas has won four in a row in the series, while New York has lost seven straight and nine of its last 10 as the visitor against the Mavericks.

The Mavericks are 1-1 so far on the homestand. On Saturday, Nowitzki poured in 34 points to become the leading scorer in Dallas history and also pulled down nine rebounds as the Mavericks dominated the New Jersey Nets, 111-91, in the first meeting between these teams since the Jason Kidd trade.

Jerry Stackhouse added 20 points, while Brandon Bass scored a career-high 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds off the bench for the Mavericks, who snapped a three-game skid.

Dallas is 26-4 at home this season. The Mavericks will also host the Charlotte Bobcats and Indiana Pacers on the current stand.

New York has dropped six in a row and opens a short two-game road trip. In their most recent outing, Portland's Brandon Roy scored 27 points as the Trail Blazers overcame a career night from Nate Robinson to top the Knicks, 120-114, in overtime Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Robinson scored a career-high 45 points on 16-of-28 shooting for the Knicks, who have lost 17 of their last 21 games overall. Quentin Richardson poured in 20 points for New York, while David Lee recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The Knicks, who will visit the Miami Heat on Wednesday, are a dismal 6-24 on the road this season.

Guard Jamal Crawford (bruised right hand) is questionable to play tonight for New York, while forward Zach Randolph (bruised right foot/personal) is probable. Center Eddy Curry (sore right knee) is expected to miss tonight's contest for the Knicks.
