(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers take their recently successful act on the road once again this afternoon, when the surging club visits the Milwaukee Bucks in a matchup between teams going in opposite directions.
Philadelphia enters the Bradley Center having won 11 of its past 14 games and has moved within one game of Washington for sixth place in the Eastern Conference with the surge. After posting a pair of victories to close out a three-game West Coast trip last week, the Sixers returned home on Friday and routed the hapless Seattle SuperSonics.
Samuel Dalembert scored 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Philadelphia, while rookie Thaddeus Young had 18 points and nine boards. Andre Iguodala added 18 points and seven assists to the winning effort.
Milwaukee, on the other hand, appears destined to miss out on the playoffs for a second consecutive year and has dropped four of its last five contests. The Bucks lost a close one Friday against Portland, as the Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge scored the game-winning bucket with 2.4 seconds left to lift his team to a 103-101 win at the Bradley Center.
Michael Redd finished with 25 points for the Bucks, who played without key contributors Maurice Williams and Yi Jianlian for a second straight game. Williams is dealing with an abdominal strain and Yi has a sprained left ankle in addition to an injured right wrist.
Both players are considered questionable to return to action this afternoon.
The Bucks will be closing out a three-game homestand today that began with a 118-116 victory over Seattle on Wednesday. Milwaukee is a solid 17-13 as the host this season and has won four of its last six at the Bradley Center.
Philadelphia was an easy winner the last time these clubs met, however, as the Sixers cruised to a 112-69 decision at the Wachovia Center on January 30. Philly also earned a 114-99 win in Milwaukee earlier this season and is 2-1 against the Bucks in 2007-08.
