(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors will open a brief two-game homestand tonight, when they welcome the Washington Wizards to the Air Canada Centre.
The Raptors will also host Seattle and own an 18-12 mark as the host this season. Toronto recently ended a three-game losing streak with Wednesday's 108-83 victory over the Miami Heat in the finale of a three-game road trip at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Rasho Nesterovic scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead a balanced attack, as the Raptors won for the sixth time in 10 tries. Jamario Moon chipped in 14 points and nine boards, while T.J. Ford contributed 13 points in a winning cause. Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani left the game in the third quarter after a collision with Miami's Alexander Johnson. X-rays taken were negative and there were no signs of a concussion, although Bargnani lost a few teeth. He is probable for Friday.
Toronto All-Star forward Chris Bosh missed his third straight game with a right knee problem, and is out indefinitely. Bosh is averaging a team-best 22.6 points per game this season for Toronto, which has won four of five as the host.
Meanwhile, the Wizards will hit the road tonight hoping to improve on their 12-18 record away from D.C. They had a two-game winning streak come to a halt with Wednesday's 122-92 loss to the Orlando Magic at the Verizon Center, as Antawn Jamison led Washington with 19 points and six rebounds.
DeShawn Stevenson had 17 points for the Wizards, losers in 12 of their last 17 contests. Washington has also dropped 10 of its last 13 games as the guest.
Friday's game between Washington and Toronto is the fourth and final meeting of the season. The Wizards lead the season series, 2-1, and have won 11 of 17 and 12 of the last 21 meetings.
Washington has lost four straight and five of its last six games at Toronto.
