Detroit Pistons (44-17) at New York Knicks (18-43), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New York Knicks will try to stop a four-game slide this evening, when they welcome the Eastern Conference-powerhouse Detroit Pistons to Madison Square Garden.

New York has dropped four in a row, five of six and 15 of its last 19 games, including Wednesday's 119-105 setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second installment of a four-game homestand. Jamal Crawford had 25 points for the hapless Knicks, who are 12-19 as the host this season.

Nate Robinson netted 24 points and Eddy Curry finished with 20 in defeat. The Knicks will close out the homestand on Saturday versus Portland. New York forward Zach Randolph (foot) is probable for Friday's game against Detroit. Randolph is averaging 25.4 points in his last five games in this series.

The Pistons will wrap up a short two-game road trip on Friday, and are 21-12 away from The Palace of Auburn Hills in 2007-08. They had a two-game winning streak come to an end with a 90-78 loss to Boston on Wednesday, as Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace each scored 23 points in a losing effort.

Richard Hamilton added 15 points for Detroit, which is 5-4 after a 10-game winning streak. In injury news for the Pistons, Wallace is probable against the Knicks because of a sore left ankle.

The season series between Detroit and New York is tied at a game apiece, while the Pistons have won four of six, 10 of 13 and 12 of the last 16 matchups.

Detroit, though, has dropped three of its last four trips to historic Madison Square Garden. The Pistons are allowing a conference-best 90.3 points per game this season.
