Phoenix Suns (40-20) at Denver Nuggets (39-22), 9 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets open a tough two-game homestand, as they host the Phoenix Suns tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Denver, which will also host the defending-champion San Antonio Spurs on Friday, tries to get back on the winning track tonight. On Sunday, Tracy McGrady scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists as the Houston Rockets extended their winning streak with a 103-89 victory over the Nuggets at the Toyota Center.

Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points and Allen Iverson poured in 17 points for the Nuggets, who had a two-game winning streak halted. Kenyon Martin collected 12 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.

The Nuggets are 23-7 at home this season. They have won three of their last four at the Pepsi Center.

Phoenix wraps up a two-game road trip tonight. On Tuesday, Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points and Steve Nash netted 19 as the Suns held off the Portland Trail Blazers, 97-92, at the Rose Garden.

Grant Hill scored 18 points and Boris Diaw added 14 points for the Suns, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Shaquille O'Neal finished with six points and 13 rebounds in the victory.

The Suns return home to host the Jazz on Friday and San Antonio on Sunday at US Airways Center. Phoenix is 19-11 on the road this season.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On January 7th, Stoudemire scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Suns knocked off Denver, 137-115, at US Airways Center.

The Suns have won two in a row in the series and have captured four of their last six visits to Denver.

The teams will also meet on March 31 at Phoenix and on April 1 at the Pepsi Center.
