(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets open a two-game homestand versus the Atlanta Hawks tonight at New Orleans Arena.

New Orleans, which is an amazing 40-19 this season, will also host the New Jersey Nets and is 20-10 at home this season. It has won two in a row at New Orleans Arena.

The Hornets have won three of their last four games overall and recorded a 100-88 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday at Madison Square Garden. Chris Paul had 27 points, eight assists and three steals as New Orleans finished the game with 10 unanswered points to drop the Knicks.

David West totaled 19 points and eight boards, while Tyson Chandler registered 15 points and 18 rebounds for the Hornets. West (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. Guard Bonzi Wells (Achilles) is doubtful.

Atlanta will hit the road tonight for two games against New Orleans and Charlotte, and is 7-22 as the guest this season. The Hawks have lost two straight, four of six and 10 of their last 13 games, including Tuesday's 135-118 setback to the Golden State Warriors at Philips Arena.

Joe Johnson scored 38 points and Josh Smith had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks. Marvin Williams also added 20 points and Al Horford chipped in 14 in a losing effort.

The Hawks have lost three straight and are 1-10 over their last 11 road games.

Atlanta and New Orleans are meeting for the second and final time this season on Wednesday night. The Hornets won the first encounter, 92-86, on November 30 at Philips Arena. West scored 22 points and ripped down 17 rebounds in that win for New Orleans, which has won three straight and five of the last six matchups in this series.

The Hawks have lost two straight and six of their last seven at the Hornets.
