(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons are back at home after their trip out west, and will host the Seattle SuperSonics this evening at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons went 3-1 on the swing versus Western Conference foes and have won four of five and 14 of their last 17 games. In Saturday's 103-73 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the finale of the trek at the Staples Center, Tayshaun Prince scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the way.
Rasheed Wallace scored 17 points and had six rebounds for the Pistons, who rebounded from a 103-95 loss to Utah on Wednesday. Richard Hamilton and Juan Dixon each scored 14 points in Detroit's 11th straight win over the Clippers.
Detroit won despite playing without All-Star guard Chauncey Billups, who sat for personal reasons. The guard flew back to Detroit Thursday for an undisclosed matter, and is probable for tonight's showdown with Seattle.
Meanwhile, the Sonics will continue a seven-game road trip this evening and are 6-22 away from KeyArena this season. They opened the lengthy stretch with Sunday's 111-108 overtime triumph against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
Rookie sensation Kevin Durant scored 25 points and Earl Watson hit a big shot from beyond the arc in overtime, as Seattle ended a four-game skid overall and a three-game losing streak as the visitor. Chris Wilcox tallied 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Watson had 15 points and nine assists.
Seattle will also visit Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Toronto, Indiana and Boston on the current swing.
Tuesday's showdown between Seattle and Detroit is the second and final meeting of the regular season. The Pistons recorded a 107-103 win on November 11 at KeyArena, as Hamilton poured in 32 points to lead the charge.
Detroit has won six straight and seven of the last eight matchups.
Seattle has lost its last three games in the Motor City.
