New Orleans Hornets (39-19) at New York Knicks (18-41), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets have hit a bump in the road and will try to get back on the winning track tonight, when they close out a short trek against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

The Hornets have lost four of six and had a two-game winning streak stopped with Sunday's 101-84 loss to the Washington Wizards in the opener of a two- game road trip at the Verizon Center. Peja Stojakovic scored a team-high 17 points and had seven rebounds for the Hornets, who have lost two straight on the road and fell to 19-9 away from home this season.

Chris Paul added 16 points and dished out a game-high eight assists, while David West contributed 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss. New Orleans is now two games behind the San Antonio Spurs in the Southwest Division standings.

New York will open a four-game homestand on Monday versus New Orleans, Cleveland, Detroit and Portland. It has won two in a row as the host and owns a 12-17 mark at MSG this season.

The Knicks have dropped two straight, three of four and 13 of their last 17 games, including Saturday's 118-92 setback to the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena. Jamal Crawford led New York with 23 points and seven assists, but the Knicks were outrebounded 54-37 to suffer the loss.

Quentin Richardson had 16 and seven rebounds, while Malik Rose and David Lee scored 11 points apiece off the bench for New York. On the injury front for the Knicks, forward Zach Randolph is questionable for tonight's game with a sore right foot.

Monday's game between New Orleans and New York is the first of two matchups this season. The Knicks, who lost both meetings with the Hornets last season, are scheduled to visit New Orleans Arena on April 4.

New Orleans has won five straight, seven of 10 and nine of the last 13 encounters with the Knicks. The Hornets have won three straight after losing their last two trips to the Big Apple.
