(Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks attempt to get back on the winning track, as they visit the Northwest Division-leading Utah Jazz tonight at EnergySolutions Arena.
This is the third meeting of the campaign between the squads. The teams split the first two contests, while the Jazz have won three of the last five meetings in the series.
Dallas has dropped two of its last three at Utah. The Mavericks are scheduled to host the Jazz on April 10th American Airlines Center.
Dallas concludes a short two-game road trip tonight. On Sunday, Kobe Bryant scored a season-high 52 points -- 20 on free throws -- and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers edged the Mavericks, 108-104, in overtime at the Staples Center.
Jason Kidd finished with 15 points and 11 assists for the Mavericks, who have lost two of their last three games overall. Reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki collected 30 points and 13 rebounds, and made a game-tying three in the final seconds of regulation.
The Mavericks are 14-18 as the visitor this season. They return home for a five-game homestand after tonight's contest versus Houston, New Jersey, New York, Charlotte and Indiana.
The Jazz, meanwhile, have won 15 straight and 17 of 18 as the host. This is Utah's longest home winning streak since capturing 20 straight from the end of the 1997-98 season to the beginning of the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign.
Utah opens a two-game homestand on Monday. Carlos Boozer scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Jazz in a 113-92 victory over the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday at FedExForum.
Kyle Korver and Mehmet Okur scored 17 points apiece for the Jazz, who have won six of their last nine games overall. Okur added 13 boards in a winning effort.
Ronnie Brewer and Andrei Kirilenko chipped in 16 points each, while Paul Millsap netted 14 and Deron Williams 13 and 19 assists in the victory.
The Jazz are an impressive 25-3 at home this season.
