Atlanta Hawks (24-32) at Boston Celtics (45-12), 6 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics play the third of a five-game homestand when they welcome the Atlanta Hawks today to TD Banknorth Garden.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On November 9th, Kevin Garnett scored 27 points, pulled down 19 rebounds and dished out six assists as the Celtics crushed Atlanta, 106-83, at TD Banknorth Garden.

The Celtics have won two of the last three contests in the series. Atlanta has dropped two in a row at Boston.

Atlanta is scheduled to host the Celtics on April 12th at Philips Arena.

Boston tries to extend its winning streak to five games. On Friday, Ray Allen sank 5-of-7 three-pointers on his way to a 23-point night, and the Celtics held off the Charlotte Bobcats, 108-100, at TD Banknorrth Garden.

Kendrick Perkins scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Kevin Garnett had 17 points and nine boards for the Celtics, who have won four straight and nine of 12 overall. Rajon Rondo dished out a career-high 16 assists in the victory.

The Celtics will host Detroit on Wednesday and Chicago on Friday at TD Banknorth Garden.

Boston is an impressive 25-4 at home this season.

Atlanta goes for its third straight victory. Rookie Al Horford finished with a career-high 20 points and 11 rebounds, as the Hawks beat the New York Knicks, 99-93, at Philips Arena.

Josh Smith ended with a team-high 25 points and pulled down nine boards for Atlanta, which has won two in a row. Joe Johnson had 20 points, while Mike Bibby scored 11 and handed out 10 assists in the victory.

The Hawks are 7-21 on the road this season. They will return home to host the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday at Philips Arena.
