Los Angeles Lakers (41-17) at Portland Trail Blazers (30-28), 10:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The red-hot Los Angeles Lakers hope to extend their winning streak to a season-best 11 straight games as they visit the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles is fresh off of completing a perfect 2-0 homestand. On Thursday, Jordan Farmar scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Lakers in a 106-88 rout of the lowly Miami Heat at the Staples Center.

Kobe Bryant poured in 21 points, handed out eight assists and collected four steals for the Lakers, who have won 10 in a row and 13 of their last 14 games overall. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol registered 13 points and 11 rebounds apiece in the victory.

The Lakers are an impressive 21-10 as the visitor this season. They return home to host Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks Sunday at the Staples Center.

Portland tries to win back-to-back games this evening. On Wednesday, Jarrett Jack equaled a season-high with 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Trail Blazers finally beat the Clippers at the Staples Center, holding on for an 82-80 victory.

Martell Webster ended with 15 points and Channing Frye scored 12 for the Trail Blazers, who snapped an eight-game road skid versus the Clippers and beat them in Los Angeles for the first time since December 18, 2002.

Portland defeated the Clippers despite being without its leading scorer for a second straight contest. Brandon Roy, who is averaging 19.3 points per game, sat out with a sprained right ankle. Roy is questionable for tonight's game.

The Trail Blazers are 21-8 at home this season. Portland will visit Baron Davis and the Golden State Warriors Sunday at ORACLE Arena.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the squads. On Tuesday, Bryant finished with 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead the Lakers to a 96-83 victory over Portland at the Staples Center.

The Lakers who have won two in a row in the series but have lost four straight at the Rose Garden.
